The Lord has called LIGHTHOUSE  APOSTOLIC MINISTRIES to provide outreach services to our community.  The following services and shelters will be opening in the year 2006!  Please PRAY that God will move to reach those in need - We were called out of darkness to share the "Light" with the world as our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15.

CASA DE LUZ

Domestic Violence Shelter for women and children, to ensure a safe environment where they will receive the services needed to maintain their independence and preserve their human dignity.

TREASURE HOUSE

Will minister to children 5 to 12 years old who are victims of, or are at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Each "diamond in the rough" will receive a clean bed, nutritional food, clothes and a home-like environment that creates opportunities for success, a discovery of skills, talents, characteristics and intelligence, that is required for success in life. These little gems will come to understand how precious, valuable and beautiful they are in God’s sight. Our committed staff will assist in cleaning up the smudges and shining up the dull edges. Treasure House will specialize in taking a blasted mess and turning it into a blessed event!!

H.A.N.D.S. PROJECT

Helping Arizonan’s Needing Deaf Services - This program will provide Support and Task Groups, which include Deaf Culture, Conflict Resolution, Substance Abuse, etc. Before and After School Care, Infant, Toddler and Preschool Care, 24-hour Respite Care, a Mentoring Program and Sign Language classes to help reduce communication barriers.

NEHEMIAH PROJECT

"Re-building the Broken Walls of our Youth at-Risk." This Independent Family-like Living program will reach out to young males, 16-17 years of age. Services will include, group therapy, anger management, peer relationships, how to deal with abandonment issues, grief and loss, self-esteem, Character Counts, pre-employment training, mentoring, community services, age appropriate education, independent living skills, and establishing a program that Life Hurts – God Heals!

NELLIE'S HOUSE

Teen Mom Program, will provide housing for pregnant teens that find themselves homeless or unable to provide shelter and necessities for themselves. The program will assist single teen mothers with employment services, case management, accessing education, resources, individual and group self help counseling, assistance with establishing paternity and child support.

FREEDOM HOUSE

Transitional Housing for Women leaving the Corrections System - This program will provide temporary housing, and network with other services.  We will offer wrap-around services, cultural competency, peer and/or mentoring relationships, role models, and spiritual social networks. The theoretical orientation that best suits this population of vulnerable women is the Empowerment Approach which will include a stress coping paradigm, cognitive restructuring of the false beliefs engendered with internalized oppression.
